Course Curriculum

Curriculum

The curriculum of the School is designed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) which is an internationally recognized organization in India devoted to the designing of school curriculums.

Classes

The School has classes from I to XII. The medium of instruction is English with Tibetan as medium of instruction at Primary Level
The academic session for all grades I-XII is divided into two terms.

Affiliation/Recognition

The School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, India. A pass certificate is awarded to a student successfully after completion of Class X and XII examination conducted by CBSE.

Subjects Offered

Primary Level: At the Primary Level, from Class I to V, English and Tibetan are compulsory languages to be studied. The other subjects to be studied are Maths, Environmental Science, Social Science. Under the non-scholastic areas, children are introduced to Art Education, Music, Craft and Physical Education.
Secondary Level: English is compulsory from Class VI to X. An option is given between Hindi and Tibetan as a second language. Sanskrit language has to be studied as a compulsory subject from Class VI to VIII. Other than the three languages, students study Maths, Science and Social Science. They are expected to get qualifying grades in Drawing and Painting, Music and Physical Education, besides the compulsory subjects.
Senior Secondary Level: The children can choose any one the three streams offered by the School Science, Commerce and Humanities in Classes XI and XII.
